High quality of life at affordable cost

The Netherlands is proud to have a high standard of living, while maintaining an affordable life for its residents. The costs of living, housing, education and cultural activities are lower than in most Western-European countries. The country is the fifth largest economy of the EU and contributes to about 5% of its GDP.

As per the human development index taken out by the United Nations Development Programme, the Netherlands stands sixth in the world, ahead of Sweden, Luxembourg, Switzerland, France and the UK.

The Quality of Life Index 2008, published by the International Living magazine, ranked the Netherlands 10th in the world on the basis of its final score. The country scored a 100 in terms of freedom and risk and safety.

Reasonably priced real estate, offices, housing, food and consumer goods welcome you to the Netherlands. The cities may not be very large, but are very well planned and easily navigable. Culturally, the country gives you a lot, having over 1000 museums, with 42 in Amsterdam alone. Overall, a free, inviting and communal atmosphere makes living in the Netherlands an extremely pleasant experience.
