Each region within the Netherlands offers distinct advantages to Indian companies in terms of R&D centres, universities, infrastructure, location and existing business networks. The regional advantages play a strong role in helping companies zero in on a specific location within the Netherlands while setting up a European operation. At present the regions of the Netherlands with the largest concentration of Indian-owned business entities are the following:

Amsterdam Metropolitan Area

Includes municipalities of Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Almere, Haarlemmermeer and others.

West Holland

Includes municipalities of The Hague, Delft, Lansingerland, Leiden, Rijswijk, Zoetermeer and others

Noord Brabant

Includes municipalities of 's Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch), Eindhoven, Tilburg, Breda, Waalwijk, and others

Utrecht

Includes municipalities of Utrecht, Zeist and Amersfoort, among others

East Netherlands

Covering the provinces of Overijssel and Gelderland. Some of the prominent municipalities in this area are Enschede, Zwolle, Almelo, Deventer and Hengelo in the Overijssel region and Arnhem, Nijmegen, Apeldoorn, Ede, Wageningen,  Zutphen, Doetinchem, Harderwijk, Epe, Wijchen and Tiel in Gelderland

Rotterdam

Includes municipalities of Rotterdam, Dordrecht, Vlaardingen and others
