Roundtable on 'The Advantages of the Regulatory Business Environment in The Netherlands'

The Royal Netherlands Embassy, the NFIA in association with KPMG and in partnership with Walker Chandiok Grant Thornton organised an exclusive round table in three cities in India‹Hyderabad, Chennai and Ahmedabad to educate Indian companies about

• The advantages of the regulatory business environment in The Netherlands for Indian companies
• How you can best put these benefits to use

The meeting was presided over by the Ambassador of The Netherlands to India, Mr Bob Hiensch.

Experts present at the gathering included

• Mr. Gopal Ramanathan, Chairman, India Committee of the Dutch Trade Board (the principal advisory body to the Minister for Foreign Trade of the Netherlands), and Chairman, Emerging Market Practice, KPMG
• Mr. Robert V Schipper, Counsellor for Industrial Affairs, The Netherlands Embassy and Executive Director, Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) India, an agency of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs
• A prominent tax lawyer from the Netherlands, and
• Two senior representatives from Walker Chandiok Grant Thornton, who have recently launched, jointly with FICCI, a new publication, entitled Investing in the European Union, A comprehensive guide for mid-market companies.

Companies with experience in investing in the Netherlands were also be present at the seminar.
