Gerdalies van Diggelen joins as the new Executive Director for the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA), India

Gerdalies van Diggelen has taken over the position of Executive Director for the NFIA India office since August 2011. Prior to her current position, she was active in the field of Energy Policy in the Netherlands. In 2004, she was positioned in Russia as the head of the Economic section of the Netherlands Embassy for four years.

Gerdalies has worked as a policy advisor on innovation policy and spatial-economic policy in her initial years.  In 1997 she moved to Brussels to work as First Commercial Secretary in the Permanent Representation of The Netherlands with the European Union. After returning to The Hague, she worked in the office of the Secretary-General. Her experience in these roles has helped her develop expert opinion on foreign investment and related government policies.

Gerdalies has a Masters degree in Human Geography from the Groningen University in 1987. She currently resides in New Delhi and is single.
